Abstract

The main objective of this investigation is to implement the Fry analysis in order to establish the spatial and genetic relation between different ore bodies and manifestations in the metallogenic district of Santa Lucia and reveal the preferential direction. The results show a clear relation in the spatial distribution of the ore bodies as they are grouped in a cloud of points. This indicates that all the ore bodies and manifestations of the metallogenic district constitute the process giving rise to the ore bodies and that subsequent processes occurring in the tectonics and overthrusting mantle that were evidenced in the area caused a single ore body to scatter into various deposits and manifestations. This investigation provides information for generating a 1: 250 000 Metallogenic Map headed by the Cuban Geological Service (IGP, acronym in Spanish).
