Estudio preliminar del Macizo de gabroides Quesigua de las ofiliotas del este de la provincia Holguín.
Abstract
En el artículo se realiza el estudio preliminar del Macizo de gabroides Quesigua, perteneciente al gran cuerpo ofiolítico Moa-Baracoa de Cuba Oriental. En la primera parte se analizan aspectos de la geología de estas rocas, en especial las texturas magmáticas que pudieron estudiarse en diversos afloramientos. Se realiza una descripción de los tipos petrográficos presentes en el macizo, concluyéndose que las principales litologías entre los gabroides son gabro normal, gabro norita y el gabro onivírico, en tanto que entre las ultramafitas existen cantidades aproximadamente similares de harzburgitas, wehrlitas y dunitas. En el trabajo se presentan los resultados de análisis químicos y peso volumétrico realizados a 26 muestras.Downloads
