Los videojuegos como herramienta de intervención neuropsicológica en el envejecimiento

Resumen

Se revisaron estudios y consideraciones relacionadas con el uso de los videojuegos y sus efectos sobre determinadas funciones cognitivas en adultos mayores. Si bien ha aumentado la evidencia científica que apoya el uso de los videojuegos, como herramienta de intervención para el aprendizaje y la mejora de funciones cognitivas en población más joven, se requiere de mayor investigación en adultos mayores en condiciones de envejecimiento normal y patológico. La evidencia científica apoya el uso de los videojuegos como herramienta de intervención para el aprendizaje y la mejora de funciones y procesos cognitivos en adultos mayores.
