Peer Review Process

Peer review is done in double-blind method, considering two reviewers per paper and a third in case of conflicting verdicts. The reviewers committee includes recognized national and international researchers. The opinion of the reviewers is final.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle of making research freely available to the public, which encourages greater global exchange of knowledge

Journal History

Mineria & Geologia was founded in 1983 at the Higher Institute of Mining Metallurgical Mining Moa with the aim of disseminating the results of geological and mining-metallurgical developed by professionals involved in mining and extractive activity in Cuba and around the world. From its founding until 2003 circulated in print, with ISSN 0258 8959. The digital version appears in 2000 to provide online content published in print. In 2005 finally migrates to digital format and is assigned the ISSN 1993 8012. Today is an online journal, with immediate open access to its contents
