Abstract

El trabajo aborda el problema de la soldabilidad de los tubos de acero inoxidable austenfstico al cromo nfquel, de 326 mm de diámetro y 7,5 mm de espesor, utilizados en la lfnea de licor de lixiviación de la empresa Moa Nickel S.A. Pedro Soto Alba. Se plantea el uso de explosivos para lograr la unión metalúrgica de tramos de tubos con cargas de alta velocidad, garantizando la ausencia de corrosión intercristalina que caracteriza a este tipo de acero cuando se emplean los procedimientos comunes de soldadura.
