Separación de cobalto y níquel de soluciones con el uso de solventes orgánicos (Primera Parte)
Abstract
Se estudia la separación de níquel y cobalto de una solución ácida, debido a la disolución de los sulfuros amoniacales de Ni+Co que se obtienen en la Planta de Níquel de Punta Gorda, al utilizar para ello diferentes compuestos orgánicos. Se evalúa el comportamiento de los extrayentes DP BR (fosfórico), PC BBA y P 507 (fosfónicos), CYANEX 272 y CYANEX 302 (fosfínicos) para la separación selectiva de cobalto del níquel de un licor con con centraciones de 33 g/L de Ni, 10 g/L de Co y menos de 1 g/L de impurezas como Zn, Ca, Mg y Mn. Se comparan los factores de separación, coeficientes de distribución y por cientos de extracción, para los diferentes elementos con los diversos extrayentes, y por último, se muestra una propuesta de diagrama de flujo para el tratamiento del licor con esta tecnología, que tiene un alto grado de aplicación a escala mundial en la hidrometalurgia del níquel y el cobalto.Downloads
