Efluente líquido (WL) de la tecnología de lixiviación ácida: alternativas de tratamiento

El residual conocido como WL (waste liquor) se genera en la tecnología de lixiviación ácida de minerales lateríticos que aplica la empresa Pedro Sotto Alba (Compañía Moa Nickel S.A.) para precipitar el níquel y el cobalto en forma de sulfuros. Este residual se descarga al río Cabañas con una concentración de metales, acidez y temperatura que superan las normas ambientales de vertimiento. En este trabajo se analizan las principales variantes de tratamiento que han resultado del estudio de esta problemática y se propone un nuevo proceso desarrollado en el Centro de Investigaciones del Níquel.Downloads
