Sobre la geología de la Sierra de Cristal y áreas adyacentes.
Abstract
La sierra de Cristal forma parte de los macizos montañosos del noreste de Cuba oriental, alcanzando una elevación de 1 231 m en el pico Cristal. El contorno del macizo es aproximadamente rectangular, cubriendo un área de unos 1 000 km2. El corte erosional de algunos ríos es de casi 1 000 m atravesando, en ocasiones, los mantos tectónicos presentes, exponiendo el probable autóctono. A pesar de su limitada superficie, la sierra de Cristal tiene una gran importancia geológica, como se verá más adelante.Downloads
