Neógeno en Pinar del Río. Unidades litoestratigráficas del Neógeno.
Abstract
Los sedimentos del Neogeno ocupan importantes áreas en el sur de Pinar del Río, en tanto que al norte su distribución geográfica es más limitada. Casi todas estas capas pertenecen al Mioceno, siendo escasos los sedimentos pliocénicos. De acuerdo con sus características y distribución geográfica se distinguen dos tipos de corte.1.Tipo norte: representado por las formaciones Jaruco, Cojímar y Guines, así como algunas capas del Plioceno.2.Tipo sur: representado por las formaciones Paso Real, Cojímar y Guines, así como por la Fm.
