Observaciones sobre las posibilidades gaso-petrolíferas de la región oriental de Cuba

Abstract

Sobre la base de premisas estratigráficas y estructurales, obtenidas a partir de datos geológicos de superficie e información geofísica, los autores caracterizan la región Oriental como un área con grandes perspectivas en el archipiélago cubano para la localización en ella de acumulaciones industriales de petróleo y gas.También en el trabajo se argumentan las ventajas estratigráficas y estructurales de esta región con respecto a aquellas en las que actualmente se efectuan los trabajos de búsqueda de petróleo y gas en Cuba.Por último se dan recomendaciones sobre las tareas geólogo-geofísicas que son necesario ejecutar en la región para localizar los lugares donde deben efectuarse las búsquedas de petróleo y gas.
