Generalización petrológica del corte ofiolítico de los yacimientos Pinares de Mayarí, Canadá Y Luz Norte, Macizo Mayarí-Nicaro
Abstract
La asociación ofiolítica del este de Cuba en la porción occidental, donde aflora el macizo Mayarí-Nicaro, está formada por tres complejos diferenciados: ultramáfico metamorfizado, gábrico cumulativo y de diques paralelos de diabasas, el complejo superior no está presente, pero existen evidencias de su presencia señaladas por otros autores. Sobre la base de 261 secciones delgadas de rocas, 74 análisis químicos completos, análisis espectral de los elementos trazas Cr, Ni y Ti, así como parámetros petroquímicos como índice de solidificación y coeficiente de Terrosidad se confeccionaron gráficos petroquímicos triangulares y semimilogarítmicos, para caracterizar petrológicamente el corte ofiolítico en la región y se compara con el propuesto por R. Coleman (1977) que toma como base elementos de la tectónica global, hipótesis de gran controversia.Downloads
