Crómitas del norte de Holguín. Estado actual de las investigaciones
Abstract
Se revisan las Investigaciones realizadas sobre cromitas cubanas con el objetivo de utilizar éstas como materia prima de carga en la producción de ferrocromo de alto carbono. La fusión de la cromita refractaria con serpentina niquelífera como fundente permite obtener una ferroaleación en la que la deficiencia de cromo se suple con un 3-5 % de níquel. La fusión de cromlta metalúrgica y/o briquetas de concentrados de finos de cromita extraídos de las colas de la fábrica de Nicaro proporciona un ferrocromo con un 52-60 % de cromo y un 6,4-7 % de carbono. La producción de esta ferroaleación en nuestro país es factible desde el punto de vista técnico.Downloads
