In order to identify the structures representing the metallogenic structural control of favorable gold-bearing zone and propose new zones with possible gold-bearing mineralization in La Unión-La Botija sector, Camagüey-Las Tunas provinces an integrated interpretation of geophysical and morphometric methods was carried out. To determine the horizontal gradients in the different directions, indicators of failures, data from gravimetric and magnetic fields were processed. Processing radiometric data allowed evaluating the mineralization factor and the creation of ternary maps. From the data of digital elevation model, the drainage network and flow accumulation maps were obtained. Each of generated maps was interpreted and later the integrated interpretation was carried out, which allowed identifying a large number of structures and areas with hydrothermal alterations. Six possible zones of gold-bearing mineralization were identified based on geological, geophysical and drainage criteria. Such results have proved the presence of new favorable sectors for identifying gold-bearing mineralization, what is current so they are part of the National Gold Program executed by the National Geological Service of Cuba.Downloads
