Comportamiento reológico de las pulpas lateríticas
Abstract
Las características reológicas de las pulpas lateríticas cubanas han sido poco estudiadas, de ahí que la información existente en Cuba acerca de esta temática es escasa y con resultados contradictorios. En un reciente trabajo realizado en el Instituto Superior "Julio Antonio Mella" de Santiago de Cuba, en el cual se comenzó el estudio de las características reológicas de las pulpas que se procesan en la Planta de Espesadores "Cmdte Pedro Sotto Alba" de Moa se obtuvo que el comportamiento reológico de las pulpas de mineral lateiítico corresponde al de los plásticos reales, pudiendo ajustarse las curvas de flujo al modelo reológico de Bulkley-Herschel. Se trabajó en un rango de concentración de sólidos de 26-463 % a una temperatura de 30°C. Los ensayos experimentales se realizaron en un viscosímetro capilar de tubos intercambiables, diseñado y construido en Facultad de Tecnología Química del ISPJAM.Downloads
