Abstract

The development of activities that favor the linking of the local history of Mayarí from the Civic Education subject in Primary Education was proposed. Theoretical methods were applied such as: analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and historical-logical, observation, survey and interview. The implementation contributes to motivating interest in the study of relevant aspects of local history, the formation and development of love for one's locality, the care and conservation of material and social assets such as plaques and monuments representative of local historical events. These activities can be applicable to various locations, taking into account their characteristics and community interests. The schoolchildren show a favorable state of mind to carry out activities related to local history.
