Thermal effect of the arc welding immersed in low alloyed steel

Abstract

It was proposed to establish the microstructure-properties relationship in the molten zone and the zone of thermal influence of low alloyed steel manganese coupled by the welding process under submerged arc. The calculation method to take into consideration was established during the weld process on the joint of the pipeline, made of steel API 5L. It was determined by the hardness analysis that it is superior in the sink of the cord (207, 6 HRB) and that to the extent that the other strands are deposited, it decreases (HRB 181.6) as a result of the annealing they are subjected to during the process. The analysis of the boards designed welding areas, the welding procedures and the preparation of the pieces to be weld can provide opportunities to minimize costs.
