Mechanical properties performance of ИЧ XH 4 alloy to be used in ball mills
Keywords:
white cast iron, microstructure, hardness, heat treatment.Abstract
For characterizing ИЧ XH 4 white cast, the smelting process was carried out in a high frequency crucible induction furnace, where the selected load was made from scrap and steel billet and the three samples obtained from the foundry process were also analyzed. It was determined from the microstructural analysis that microstructures of raw cast samples are dendritic, perlite and carbide consisting structures of M3C type. Microstructures are made of ferrite, retained austenite and graphite sheets after applying an annealing heat treatment at 960°C. The percentage of phase in microconstituents where there are variations in the raw cast samples and those thermally treated was carried out. Determined hardness is between 640 HV and 270 HV.Downloads
