Abstract

The behavior of natural soil moisture was analyzed, based on the influence of precipitation on this index in the area where the Ferroniquel Minera S.A. plant operates in Moa. For the analysis of precipitation, data from five irregularly distributed rain gauges that influence the study area were used. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the average accumulated rainfall at each rain gauge showed significant differences. However, there were differences between the monthly accumulated averages, which allow us to identify the wettest and least wettest months.
