Abstract

This investigation explores the main sociopsychological characteristics in female victims of abuse in the municipality of Moa. In this specific sociocultural context, this analysis is focused on combining theory and gender perspective. The study was completed based on phenomenological and biographical methods using theoretical and methodological triangulation which combines the quantitative and qualitative approaches of social research methodology. The analysis results has shown that there are a number of sociopsychological characteristics that are common in the abused women; who keep up the patriarchal ideology found to be related with high rates of violence against women in Moa. :
