Abstract

This is an investigative approach to the problem faced by youngpeople in some Ibero American countries. The main problems lie on access to agood education, job and their need to be considered an active part of society,being a live force capable to transform reality. Youth has to be seen more asopportunity rather than a risk or threat. It has potential in itself. A comparisonbetween the realities of the Cuban young people and youth in other countries ismade with regard to occupation and concern and the vanguard role of youth indifferent times of the Cuban history is highlighted.
