Abstract

This work is an approach to Marti’s ideas present in “The Age of Gold”, a literary writing dedicated to all American children. The stories “Meñique”, “El camarón encantado”, “Los zapaticos de rosa”, “La muñeca negra” and the fragments in “The Final Page” were selected. A brief description of the stories was completed in order to identify the lessons and the values represented in them; which are undoubtedly a great legacy not only for the intended readers but also for any reader who is interested in knowing what Martí was like, the Teacher of all times.
