Abstract

This investigation is to analyze learning objects in order to select the most appropriate one(s) for implementation in different learning platforms. This includes a practical definition of the concept of learning object. Its characteristics, types, applications and the study of real examples applied to different tasks. After a detailed analysis of the SCORM and ISM specifications, the SCORM specification was selected to be the most appropriate one to apply.
