Abstract

In the present work was carried out a wide bibliographical search of the thematic in question, valuing the current state of the drying process. Through the carried out simulations using the Finite Element method has showed that the mineral experiences a variation of their temperature that encounter around the 740 ºC. The obtained values of the modelation are approximately equal to the obtained for previous authors for similar conditions of work, using the analytic method of determination of the heat flow, by means of the equations of heat transfers. It carried out a small economic valuation of the consumption of hourly combustible of the dryers (1,600 t/h) (730,48 USD/h) and it is exposes as with the reduction of lost of heat it obtains a smaller consumption of 0.1 t/h, it is analyzed the main environmental impacts of the drying process of mineral.
