Abstract

Controller for automatically-operated self-exciting asynchronous generators Abstract: This investigation was based on simulating a controller to control the excitation in self-excited asynchronous generators having cage rotors. The generator is used as an aerator-generator on automatic mode or isolation to suppress the (inductive) reactive power required by the machine to create its primary magnetic field and respond to potential changes in the reactive nature of the load. The designed circuit is capable to detect the differences in the load phase. This allows sending a multi-pulse excitation signal that controls the excitation by cycles. The investigation results indicated variations of approximately six to twenty pulses per cycle in direct proportion to the phase angle (
