Petrographical characterization of lithological units of the khoabendus group and fransfontein granitic series in the 1914cb Kamanjab, Namibia Abstract: A geological survey was carried out to describe the mineralogical, textural and structural characteristics of the rocks, which crop out in the 1914CB Kamanjab sector with the objective to clarify, from the petrographical point of view, the lithological units of the Khoabendus group, and the granitic series in the 1914CB Kamanjab sector to the northeast of Kamanjab, Namibia. Various analytical techniques such as petrographical analysis and x-ray fluorescence methods were implemented. The values of oxides were obtained by applying x-ray fluorescence methods. The investigation results mainly lie on: main mineral associations and the type of rock, graphical representation of the granitoids complex and sedimentary rocks as well as potential protoliths of metamorphic rocks.
