Environmental impact assessment due to presence of hydrocarbons in the state farm Los Clavelitos
Keywords:

The presence of hydrocarbons in the State Farm Los Clavelitos has a negative impact on the environment. For that reason, the elements contributing to this effect are identified and evaluated by applying the Buroz Integrated Relevant Criteria method. It was demonstrated that the presence of hydrocarbons in the state farm is owed to natural emissions known as Menes. The elements that are affected in the physical environment are the soil, the water and the air and in the biological environment are the flora and fauna. Lab test works were performed which included testing samples of water and soil. The test results showed that most of the parameters tested were within the permissible limits established by the Venezuelan regulations. According to the method applied, the most impacted components were those of the physical environment in the air factor with an environmental impact value of 5,7 with a moderate probability of occurrence while the environmental impact value for the biological environment in the fauna factor was 6,2 with a high probability of occurrence. Finally, it is proposed to implement a group of corrective and remediating measures taking into account the impacts identified.Downloads
