Estilo tectónico y geodinámica de la región de Moa
Abstract
Como parte de las investigaciones sismotectónicas realizadas en Moa, se aplicó un conjunto de métodos morfotectónicos y geológicos que permitieron determinar la ubicación, características y comportamiento geodinámico actual de las principales estructuras que afectan el territorio. Entre los métodos aplicados se encuentran los métodos morfométricos, fotointerpretativos, trabajos de campo y microtectónica. De forma auxiliar fueron utilizadas las informaciones gravimétrica, magnetométrica y geodésica. Como resultado de la investigación se cartografiaron las fallas de cuatro sistema que cronológicamente correspondes a los períodos de evolución geotectónica regional y se estableció el esquema de los movimientos geotectónicos contemporáneos, que se caracterizan por el predominio de los movimientos de ascenso, sin obviar la existencia de desplazamientos horizontales y rotacionales entre los bloques morfotectónicos.Downloads
