Abstract

The progress of technological processes, the implementation of state of the art technologies and the search for feasible alternatives are becoming increasingly important topics in all industries that are projected to grow. The mining industry is no exception from this. The Ernesto Che Guevara plant ensures the production of nickel and cobalt recognized worldwide for its great quality, maintaining high levels of efficacy and efficiency. This allows the plant to be competitive in today’s market and to constantly introduce advanced technologies while protecting the environment. This makes it a symbol of Cuban industry. This work proves the effectiveness of the technology implemented for improved extraction operations in the Ernesto Che Guevara Plant located in the province of Holguín.
