Abstract

A tectonic study of the Quesigua and Cayo Guam basins was conducted. The information and data from the fieldwork were processed and interpreted, resulting in a series of diagrams, maps, graphs, and tables that allowed for the tectonic characterization of the watersheds. These diagrams were created using image processing techniques and geological mapping. A total of 753 reservoir elements were measured in six outcrops for the analysis and interpretation of cracking. It was determined that the main orientations of the structures present in the investigated area are northeast and northwest, with a predominant orientation of N40°E and N15°W. The main directions of the major stresses associated with the structures present in the study area were established.
