Como consecuencia del cese de la actividad minera, generalmente se abandona el patrimonio geológico y minero, no considerándolo un elemento más para tener en cuenta a fin de alcanzar el desarrollo sostenible; sin embargo, éste refleja datos de notable interés histórico, social, económico, ambiental y cultural, que deben ser preservados para las generaciones futuras. Este trabajo recoge las experiencias adquiridas por los autores durante visitas realizadas a minas, tanto activas como inactivas, de diversas regiones mineras del mundo. Su objetivo es destacar la importancia del rescate del patrimonio geológico y minero en la concepción del desarrollo sostenible.Downloads
