Abstract

The development of mining in Cuba has been differently expressed in different historical stages. In the authors' opinion, changes that forcefully modify the Cuban history and society clearly expressed in copper and nickel exploitation, transforming entire regions and towns into appendices of the big international industry with consequent results for society.
