Comportamiento y propiedades físico-mecánicas de los sedimentos cuaternarios en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba
Abstract
Los sedimentos cuaternarios en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba abarcan toda su periferia; en el presente artículo se describen los diferentes tipos genéticos de rocas y suelos que componen los sedimentos cuaternarios. Según la clasificación ingeniero-geológica e ingeniero-petrológica estos suelos pueden quedar divididos en rocas semiduras del grupo II (calizas costeras) y rocas del grupo III y IV (Suelos arenosos y arcillosos). En el trabajo se brinda una valoración de comportamiento de los suelos antes mencionados, y se valoran las propiedades físico-mecánicas de las rocas, evaluándose estos como base natural para las futuras obras ingenieriles.Downloads
