Abstract

The design, performance of technological parameters, and operation of the semi-industrial hydrotransport installation of the University of Moa was studied. Throttling experiments were carried out with the valve in the pump discharge, with the aim of obtaining the characteristic curves of the system for various revolutions, in addition to evaluate the performance of the pipe and fittings network. Among the main results were the characteristic curves of the centrifugal pump лG load-capacity, power-flow, and performance-flow for transporting raw water at 26 ° C of temperature. The operating points of pumping system were obtained when analyzing the network of pipes and fittings together with the characteristic curves yield being among its operational ranges.
