Neuropsychological and cognitive evidence of abuse in older adults

This study is a review of the evidence of abuse in adults and older adults, with an approach aimed at showing the consequences and neuropsychological effects that abuse and violence can have in these two age groups. A bibliographic review was carried out for explaining the topic. It is possible to use and guide the actions of health professionals through the definitions of international and national organizations that have jurisdiction within the geographical and political framework of action. It is essential to prevent abuse with advice to both health personnel, caregivers and family members.Downloads
